DSB Structures adapt to the patient — in real time
Direct Structural Build™ is a novel conformable composite structural architecture for prosthetics and orthotics, introducing a new class of adaptive load-bearing structures formed directly during fitting. The approach enables single-session fitting and creates continuous, and therefore lighter, structures for applications such as transtibial, transfemoral prosthesis, AFOs, KAFOs, spinal braces, and other P&O devices. DSB enables programmable structural formation and embedded sensing — extending intelligence and digitalization directly into the load-bearing architecture.
Benefits
Single-Session Fitting
Real-time, on-body formation eliminates multi-visit workflows.
Reduced SKU Complexity
Inventory shifts from size-based to formation-based.
Lighter Architectures
Continuous structural architectures with 40 to 55% mass reduction.
